Information for Council flat leaseholders

How we maintain leasehold flats

We make daily visits to check for:

  • littering and dumping of rubbish
  • dog mess
  • graffiti and vandalism
  • abandoned cars and dangerous or illegal parking
  • grounds maintenance
  • any health and safety issues.

We warn anyone who is fly-tipping, neglecting their garden or parking without consideration that this is unacceptable. We may take enforcement action against them if they do not resolve this.

We report issues such as street lighting to the County Council.

We carry out a thorough inspection of all our blocks of flats every six months.

Community visits

The Tenants' Panel and our Street Wardens to carry out community visits with the Police. During these visits, you can tell us about any concerns you have about your local neighbourhood.
